Towards the middle of the nineteenth century, part of the old monastery of Cannero Riviera, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, was transformed into an hotel: thus was born the Albergo dei tre Re, whose name referred to the biblical Three Kings and paid tribute to the religious community that had once lived there.
The hotel has developed to become a little village in its own right, overlooking the lake right in the historical centre of the town. The main house was first joined by the old residence of the Baron of Sant’Agabio, which is located next door to the hotel. This is an eighteenth-century aristocratic building featuring antique vaulted ceilings and floors paved with Lombard terracotta, a central fountain and external staircases in white Montorfano granite. Next came the Residenza dei Fiori, an historical building located on the inner side. As indoor corridors that retrace original alleyways link each building  to the others, you may easily come across an unexpected  cloister, a cross-vaulted passageway, a courtyard or a porch: each architectural detail will take you back to how life was once lived and care was once taken.

Hotel Cannero Lakeside Resort offers its Guests 60 rooms complete with every confort, 10 family apartments, the Restaurant "I Castelli" and the Caffè " le Vele", the heated outdoor swimmingpool, the sand tennis court and the private parking place. Of particular interest is the old Monastery cellar situated in the center of the Hotel.
